Re: Building a Cooker from a Propane Tank
Dirty, no counter weight. Currently it's not that bad. With the skin it is going to be very close. I have a few ideas if it becomes a "back-breaker". I "think" I'm gonna be okay but I may be too optimistic. Seems everything turns out heavy...

Building a Cooker from a Propane Tank
Wanted to give an example of how the side panels work. Take in consideration I'm 6'-6'1" on a good day with long arms. The fella in the video is 5'9 maybe. All jokes a side this fella is a major part of making this dream become a reality. He's taught me a lot about fabricating and how to weld. I can't feed him enough from this pit to repay him for his knowledge and patience with me throughout this process.

That is cooler than cool. Had to watch that twice. Gotta agree with the others, your "think time" must be incredible on this. Great build and great ideas. Thanks for thing time to post the video.

Thanks fellas. The "think-time" definitely has increased some thinning of the hair for sure.

Additional storage rack. Will add SS expanded metal after paint.

That is an excellent use of the space above the wood box. Man this is rapidly becoming the most amazing rig I've seen. I'm really happy for you. Almost getting envious, but I'm sure my little F-150 couldn't handle it. It barely handles my 5000 lb rig.
Don't stop!
Have Fun!

Great idea to use stainless. Love the use of space.
You should forget cooking on it and just pull it around charging everybody $1 a piece to look at it. I'd stand in line and pony up a buck!

Re: Building a Cooker from a Propane Tank
Thank you fellas! A lot of years of thinking and a lot of awesome ideas from you guys and others on this site. My main objective has been to not rush. I'm sure ready to be thru though. But I'm not in a hurry. She's coming together. Been working on this the past few days. Going to have SS on top of shelf for a working surface.

Building a Cooker from a Propane Tank
A lil update. All I lack is a spare tire rack mount. Just been tinkering and cleaning her up for her date with blast and paint. Problem there is my hookup is bowed up as a one legged...well you get the point. Where I work (which is where the cooker is) has their annual outage. So my hookup on blast and paint will be about another 3-4 weeks... I hope

Re: Building a Cooker from a Propane Tank
I went to harbor freight and bought 4 sets. I told the mechanics to split up what was left. The WC is rigged up the same way. I used four .5". I did not like our original control handle. I was right on the cusp of figuring it out and I would lose the thought. Then when I saw YTQ's. I said bingo!!!
