The oven is now finished, only need to do the steel door for it. The weather starts to be quite bad, lots of rain, so just after finishing the oven it started to rain again. Had to cover with some plastic..

Today it was sunny weather and had some time to cut the tiles for the table part. Didin't lay them yet, as the concrete was soaked wet. Hope to get it dry enough in a couple of days. There is a heater blowing warm air underneath, will keep it for a couple of days and protect the build from rain.

Good way to keep it from getting soaking wet, tarp it. Looking good, can't wait for the finished product and some Q-view.

There is one design failure that bugs me. The yellow fire bricks in the oven would have needed to be assembled with a step compared to the concrete face, so when the tiles are layed they are at same level as the fire bricks. But now I just have to leave the tiles out of the oven door inlet. :headwall:

I have a spot on my back patio I was going to build in my bbq's and a sink area. I have a block wall for a back drop. After seeing your work I may have to build something similar. My wife really likes the look of your brickwork and design.

Thank you :) Thats sounds nice. Please do a project thread about your build. :)

Two days has the heater warmed the concrete and it feeled quite dry. So we did little tile work today. Had only limited time so didn't get everything done. But we are close to the finish now. :D

Evo 1 version oven door made. Wife isn't fully pleased with the handle thing, and it's a little bit on the heavy side... #-o

Flash looking door that. Not too sure what else one could do with the handle as an all steel one would get very toasty on the fingers. Posibility to put two handles more the sides, that way you could use two hands to move it out the way... a tad less tiring than a one handed jerk and lift... :D

You are on the right track, two handles is what I will try out. Will also make the whole door of thinner sheet.

Now the oven is 99.5% finished. :)

Also first small test done today. :)

First pizza tests made last evening. Still have to make some tools, like pizza shovel and some iron to move the embers. Also I will make a barbeque grill mesh with small legs.

Love the pic of a pizza and crystal wine glasses. Lends a degree of finess to pizza night... :D

That came out great. I don't have the skills or tube guts to attempt a build line that. For some reason I always liked the idea of having my own wood fired pizza oven.

Thank you guys. :)

Need to test to barbeque some steak soon as I made a steel grill mesh that fits the oven.

Nice grid. Plasma or laser cut?
