Wow I didn't realize how big those were until you mentioned it. That would hold half a sack in each one.

Cool, I guess HOT would be better said.

impressive!

If it can't be smoked .... try frying it. It that don't work, it's probably best just left alone

Holy Hog snot, Now thats a cooker right there.

Damn man, if you would have made it just a little taller, then you could have just walked the pig right up on the shelf and started him cooking.

Its looking like you may cook for a few people at a time.

Nice work man.

Gotta watch them firemen, when it comes to drinking and smoking!

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

Someday I want a Place where I can Build one..
Growing up I had an Uncle who was a bricklayer. Lived on Lake Texhoma. He built a pit that we could BBQ a whole cow on..Wasn't nothing for him to BBQ for 200-500 people on Memorial or Labor Day Week Ends. Where I learned to BBQ. Why I tend to Migrate to the Cooking Area. I always get invited to do the Cooking at Events.

Wondering why you did not do a Split Door to load food and or wood?

Did you Make the Shell or buy it?

Did you fill the Blocks with Sand to help insulated?
Did you pour a Pad ?
What kind of Footing did you use?

well you can open top door for the food and the side door for stoking wood.
the grates are stackable you can use 1 or booth depends on how much u need to cook
as for the shell its all mine iam a brick layer8x8x16 split face and its solid grouted with concrete
and rebar couldnt get 1/4" plate so i used 3/16" because everything was donated for the vol. fire dept.
i dug a 8" footer with concrete and rebar so it isnt going anywhere and then decided the natural ground inside was to shallow
so i dug down 12" and laid patio pavers down to give a solid floor so
it actually is 12" deeper that it looks.

It definitely will last a long time for sure
