How big is your disk?
I have a 20 inch plow disk wok and run it on a built in burner on my outdoor kitchen. It works great for the family but I am finding that some bigger groups I’m cooking for need more space. I would like to go a little bigger but don’t want to have to buy and set-up a special burner each time I cook.
So, my question is how big is your disk and what do you fire it with?

Hahahaha... that's a leading question for sure.

Seriously tho guys, I am wondering how big a discada can be and still heat efficiently on a standard burner. I’m thinking in the 24-26 inch range but I’d love to hear what everyone is running out there.

Re: How big is your disk?
I'm guessing everyone is probably using a discada that is working for them. So no need to make it bigger to see where the drop off point is.
Now here DT is your chance to do the scientific hard yards and make a a unit that you can change the disk to see where the drop off point is...

Re: How big is your disk?
I think mine is 22in with a diving board. I actually think it is too big for just the family, but it works fine on a standard burner. Diving board could be a bit warmer maybe? h2orescuemedic made a big one from a shallow dished tank end and it is a beast. Maybe 26in range Too heavy for convenience, but he made his own stand and burner if I remember. It will cook a bunch of food.
