Gas grill

Post by Brewery » June 6th, 2012, 4:29 pm

I have a grill that we had plumbed for natural gas at a previous house and would like to switch it back to propane but can't find anywhere to get the propane orifices. Everyone sells the kit to go from propane to ng but not the other way around. Anyone have any ideas how I convert it back? It's a Char-Broil commercial series

What is the model and serial number? I can figure the orifice size you need but did you hafta change the gas regulator or the spring in the regulator? when I can not find the orifice I need I have used a ball peen hammer to hammer the end of the orifice slightly closed and used an orifice drill to re drill it to the correct size.

Why does this project sound like it's getting a Phinias & Ferb, Top Gear, Blues Brothers, 3 Stooges "What could possibly go wrong?" feel to it?

The real question that everyone is missing here is - did you check out the Mad Mustard kit complete with smokin' brine? :BS: :wtf:

So how did this story end? Did you come up with a solution Frank? I just "rolled" this unit down the street from a neighbor who had it out with a FREE sign on it. (Damn heavy... )... Now I know why it out front with the FREE sign on it....
