Are you mounting directly to the floor or a cross member?. How much weight do you plan on having at each point that is supported?

I used expanded metal for the floor on mine. It allows me to haul things under the cooker but it doesn't hold water so I don't have to worry about it rusting or rotting out anytime soon.

Can you reach the racks from the ground or do you need to stand on the deck to work your smoker? It looks like it’s mounted pretty high and I would want a solid deck if I were standing on it. If not, I like BigT with the mesh.
Either way, thickness depends on how many cross-member/supports you have under it and how you will be mounting your equipment (directly to the frame or only to the deck).

Thank you guys for the comments, this is my first project and I don´t like to spend too much money, I´m looking for make my small food trailer but the axis of the trailer is just for light weight ( 1500 pounds ), I like to walk with not issue and put a few additaments, install light roof and working table, just to work with a free space. I like also to install a vertical flow smoker to keep warm my food, I´m a street vendor of my neighborhood and I need more space to work easy, I like somthing like this .

Re: Trailer Floor Size or Calibre?
Your trailer is only ratedT 1500lbs...TOTAL?
Stop now and get/build a proper trailer. My guess is you are now at close to 1000lbs. Typical guy weighs 175 lbs so you only have 325 lbs for a deck, roof, warmer, wood, meat, supplies, and that doesn’t include a safety factor. I like what you are trying to do but I feel you are not going to be happy with the results.
Totally appreciate wanting to work on a budget but you have to be safe about it as well.

Double check your numbers for trailer rating. Check tire rating and find the rating for the axle. Your springs will have a rating as well. A simple axle/suspension swap may be all that is needed as long as the weight is supported on the frame properly.

I like the set up. .............But I will have to hold my breath on how top heavy it looks. One good bump on the left could pitch it over the way I drive.
