Firebox Dragging?

Post by RandyB » June 5th, 2016, 5:10 pm

Anyone had bad experiences with FB dragging the ground? Is there a rule of thumb about distance from rear axle vs ground clearance vs wheel size?

I place my axle as close to the fire box as possible and allowed 9" of clearance for the firebox. I think 8" would be the least I would go but it does depend on how close your axel is to your firebox.

Yep that would be ideal. Mine is lower, but I'm going to raise it. That is just where the mod left it.
