Competition Trailer 2.0 Build in Progress

Post by YTQBBQINC » December 16th, 2015, 10:53 am

Started the build on my new competition trailer last year but stopped when I realized I'd have to build the smoker for it first so I could finish the framing on the smoker deck. Here's some pics of the first trailer I built that I took and left up in Iowa for competitions up there and family even't when I'm up there. The smoker is a Zacks Custom Pit that I modified here and there (insulated the firebox, added tuning plates, lowered the exhaust intake inside the cook chamber and add a BBQ Guru). It's a good little trailer but I'm going all out on the new one. Got my hands on an 8'X20' office trailer frame.

You've got a lot of work ahead of you but it'll be worth it when you finish.

Oh yea. The trailer is a good two to three year project before completion. My plan is to finish the smoker, mount it and frame and skin the trailer throughout 2016.
