If you're nervous about the heat then lay a layer of tin-foil (recycled of course) under the magnet - might help take some of the heat... :)

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D

????? Question ???? I'm thinking maybe this new unlined drum I have may have been treated with a mild rust inhibitor? Does anyone know if they do this to all new unlined drums? If so how to clean out or remove???
Thank's

I did a little studying about new unlined drums and to anwser my own question if the new unlined drums was coated with anything and all of them that I found on line was that the unlined one all are coated with a mild rust inhibitor...

Seasoned it with bacon grease, not cooking this time just a long test burn. The only pic of the fire basket is in the begining on the first page. I guess I should have taken a pic of it when I had it loaded with charcoal and I dumped a half chimney of lit coals in it,sorry next time I will cook and get a pic of the charcoal basket.

Looks great daryl! I think you will be just fine. we burn out every barrel we use but sometimes it is a little overkill. a good power washing would take care of that one prolly. you will be able to tell if it had some bad stuff in it on the first cook because the exhaust would have a bad odor. well unless you got carried away with the bacon grease hahaha. anyway, lets see some q view! :points:

Most Ohio'ins' don't had a accent but alot of folks from the Cincinnati area are hillbillys from Kentucky or there folks was from down south! Cincinnati is alot different that Columbus or Cleveland Ohio.
Thank's for the good comments dcman!
