Exhaust for new lid

Post by elkhorn98 » January 31st, 2016, 12:22 pm

Anyone use these 2" exhaust. I'm replacing my flat lid that warped during the burnout.

Currently I have a dome and flat lid with 3 weber vents.

I've seen them used. I don't have a UDS myself but they work great and you can hang the lid on the edge of the drum with it so you don't have to put it on the ground.

I have the same 2'' set up on my flat lid and it works fine. I mounted mine in the center of the lid.

It arrived and looks great. I am thinking to put it near the side of the lid instead of in the middle to avoid drips on the food. What is the concensus on where to put the exhaust?

I'd go a bit off to one side, so it would hang from the stack on the lip of the drum when messing with the q.

Made a new flat lid and touched up the paint on the 55 and 30 gal drums.
