My first pit build

Post by gland1611 » March 26th, 2020, 7:30 pm

Hi guys I’m new to the forum and am building my first pit. I’m doing a 24x48 cabinet style reverse flow. I’m noticing a lot of builders are using a 24 in pipe welded under the main chamber for the smoke to flow through. Is that half moon shape necessary for proper draw or something? Or can I just have a rectangular hole for my smoke to flow through?

Pretty much any shape will do as long as the area from the PitCalc is met
