Custom smoker help

Post by Revron000 » November 30th, 2018, 2:13 pm

Hello everyone I need help. A little background on my self. I love cooking bbq. I have an offset trailer smoker made from a cement water tank that need help with, a few Weber kettles and a dyna glo wide body smoker.
I was just given a large jobox that I'm considering turning into a smoker possibly an insulated vertical cabinet style or an offset either way mounted on a trailer. I wanna know which would be the best to utilize space. The measurement are
30 deep, 74 wide, and 46 tall please help. I have a welder and can do an ok job welding.

Welcome aboard!! I remember someone using a jobox to build a vertical RF a while back but I don't think his was quite as big as this one. It's going to be huge regardless of what style that you decide to build.

Welcome to the crew.

What are your needs in a smoker? A small army could be fed with that...

I do alot of catering and plan on starting a restaurant. I'm curious to know the best route to take advantage of the space or what is the easiest route.

I would caution you that sometimes it is more difficult to make a smoker out of something else than to just build a smoker from scratch. It can definately be done but if you are looking for restaurant quality, i would buy the plans and build one from the ground up.
