Fuelling a Disco

I see everyone is using LPG to heat their Disco`s, I was woundering if you could use briquettes or charcoal to heat it!, start the stoning now!

We have built them with a disc under the cooking disc on a threaded rod to be able to adjust the heat needed. We would burn any wood we could find including scrap framing lumber
