The deal was I help him build one and I keep the other endbell...

We marked it off to cut it more shallow

Always wear eye protection and a mask to protect from lead paint when grinding on these old tanks!

Rolled a ring for trim and a good flat surface to mount the foot rest ring on. Welded it in place. I used 1-1/2 x 1/8 strap

Rolled another ring for the foot rest

Set the pit upside down in the ring to get the size of the standoff brackets then tacked them in place.

Mounted the legs on the bottom but forgot to take a pic. Then turned the pit over to check the standoffs for straight. I used a level and broke the tack welds loose to fix if they were wrong.

My buddy welded them in place after the fit was right.

I made the fire grate and the cooking grate while he was doing some finish welding.

And we made the pot hanger rack

We made the shaft on the cooking rack longer than normal so he could make an adjustable mount..... He's a machinist....

Made a fire poker

Made this one with 2 mounting tubes so a disco could be used at the same time.

Gonna let him take it home and paint it...
