Has anyone here got ideas on the best way to build a wood fired oven for pies bread and cake. I had originally wanted something moveable up to a point or possibly on wheels but more importantly really good temperature controll. any ideas

Look at the franktronic impulse build - that one is pellet drive but I know for a fact that you could build that with a charcoal/wood fire in the bottom and control it with a guru for very stable heat....

I did that on Edna and she wasn't even insulated like Frank's.... :D

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D

Try a squatty tank and line it with fire brick and you will have all the temp control you want.

I have all kinds of ideas for these just no time to put them on paper lol. I am thinking along the lines of what AR Senior said. the BBQ Bomb tanks will work great for this or even a fat 120 tank.
I would recommend insulating the oven for sure.

Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right. Henry Ford
