Well, the announcement will be what we are using for the contest and the turn in will be on or before the 30th at midnight. We still need to work out the judging method and who will judge etc. I would like to have the judging rotate each month. I think the judges could enter also if we could make sure they did not vote for their own entry. What do you guys think?

Frank, since you are starting the throw down you should choose the specific meat to cook. As far as judging goes let the forum vote on the entries through a pole. Lock it to one vote per username. Normally on other forums we place our pics out there in a separate thread and once the entries are in we start a pole. The members get to view the meal and then cast their vote. You can set up the rules something like recipe and plated pic only or recipe, prep pics and plated. You name it the sky is the limit. I have done throw downs from full blown meals to just appetizers they are fun. I would suggest yo keep the meal monetarily acceptable these things can get pricey if you go all out and not everyone can swing a brisket or beef loin on a whim personally I reserve those two cuts for special occasions.
