I left the inspection cover off the crankcase and when it started to toss oil on the water tank I was going to drop it back on.....I had the cover over the hole and was watching that 300 pounds of crankshaft turn and decided to just let the oil fly......not worth busting a hand setting it back on.
I had it running for 40 minutes and yes, you really need to keep your body parts in check!

That's a great big "Oh, H*** NO!" No reason to get body parts anywhere near that moving machinery.
