Worst that happened to my truck today was the oil cap wouldn't come off. I love the way the 6.0 runs when it's right! But I just can't do it. Or afford it.

Bummer.....got everything back together?

I could be a bit off, but that looks a lot like the clamp from the turbo/intercooler piping. I have blown at least 1 in every ford diesel I've owned. I even put one back on for a stranded young lady at a truck stop 2 weeks ago.

Glad to see you still had a little left in the cooler to help pass the time.

Yep, you called it! And I have the same story. I've changed one on every truck I've ever owned it was a 6 L diesel

I've currently got the 6.7 and had the joy of replacing it at less than 10k on it. I pulled into the carpool lane, hit the go-pedal and "pop". I was late for work that day.

You did good tho....I've never seen a broken clamp. All of mine just had to be cleaned and reassembled. I think I will throw a few clamps in the toolbox just in case.

yep, this is the second one that I had that the clamp broke. I was able to get by with a stainless steel hose clamp until I made it home but now I always keep an extra clamp lol

yep, around 30ish psi boost pullin the BBQ Trailer home

upon further thought it might not have been quite that high. upon consulting theczar, he said he thinks it was more like 25 or so, but it was sure loud hahaha
