Three year quest is over!

I'm speechless after last night's hunt. What a cap to a three year quest for a shooter. I have spent countless hours in the stand, checking game cams, and away from home. I have passed many bucks over the pass three seasons. Thanks to my wife for understanding my passion of hunting. And the best part, I was with Dad in the stand.


I went out this morning to look at him before the taxi. All I could say to myself was that's a great buck! I keep replaying in my head the moments from last night. Only 5mins left of the hunt and this tall monster coming up from the creek. He walked in knowing he was the big guy on the block. He came in on a string to a group of does I stopped in a shooting lane with some hand thrown corn. I could barely contain myself enough to wait for him to turn broadside. I waited until he was quartered towards me and buried the .270win straight to the shoulder. He went no further than 20yds in the tree line. I was floored when I walked up on him. Couldn't believe this monster was on the ground. And the QUEST was over! Called the wife and let her know it was finally over. Until the next one that is!
