Welcome from the NW

Post by HogFather » September 16th, 2018, 3:13 pm

Hello All

Glad to find this forum. Looks like lots of great information shared here. I'm from Newberg, OR (Pacific NW, suburb of Portland)

Been an avid smoker for years. Have an Old School Traeger Pellet Pooper. That Ive modified over the years. It all started years ago when the controller board on my traeger took a dump the night before a big party. So designed my own controller and started modifying on that from there. I'll post my build over in the Pellet section. I think that's where these things should go.

Been talking about building a custom unit for years. Started doing my research and found you all.

My background is manufacturing and Electrical Controls Engineering. If anyone needs any help along those lines feel free to PM me I'll be glad to help out where I can.

Got to run families on the way over and gotta smoke some meat!

Thanks for the site glad to be here. Have a great week end.
Zack

Welcome to the crew.

Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right. Henry Ford
