Just want to say a big hello to all from Africa!
Have been gleaning information on here for the past couple of weeks and will be putting together my own offset smoker shortly. Already have a load of sheet steel (5mm and 8 mm) outside and parts being flown in from the U.S with DHL.
Many thanks already for being such an amazing source of information.

Welcome to the crew.
Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Re: Brit Abroad
Many thanks to you all!
My Malawian artisanal welder has just been round and told me that his grinder is still knackered but thinks it will be repaired by this afternoon.
Will post some pictures on another thread as we progress.
Many thanks again for the hospitality!
