120gal Reverse Flow Build, Fixing a "warped or sprung" Door

Post by MaddogVPF » May 6th, 2018, 8:40 am

First build with a friend. After mounting the door we noticed that we had between a 1/4-1/8" gap at the bottom. His idea was to create a wooden form for the inside of the tank in order to match the arc, then use four clamps to bend the door to fit the wooden form, then weld supports inside to keep the door's arc in place. Worked like a charm, although we did have to notch out the supports where they made contact with the front of the cooking grate.

Take a look at the pics for a visual.
