Thanks for the further comments all, I have plans to make a basket.
My main problem is seasoned wood here in the uk, I’m really struggling to get anything under 17% moister content, even kiln dried wood is wet when you split it and test the inside.
Indoor wood fires are very popular so wood moves fast, seasoning is only happening for about 6 months, but with the humidity here it’s just not long enough.
Thankfully I have a farmer with barn space and a lot of wood laying around, so we’re going to start collecting it up to get it seasoning for a year minimum
