Regarding the well documented after effects of chili. I did not know until quite recently that just like dried beans that need a soak overnight and rinse in the before cooking, canned beans need a rinse as well. If you drain and rinse canned beans before tossing them into the pot you should notice a great reduction in any before mentioned post chili pyrotechnics as it were
did I take this thread down a rabbit hole again like so many others before it?

Yes....but that's okay....but why would you want a reduction in post traumatic gas expulsion?

SoloQ you know I work and a refinery and am a Guru at making gas my wife prefers for me to make it only at work for some reason .... Butt i love my beans
