Kiln dried

Recently gained access to some kiln dried cherry and oak. Anybody use this before or know if it is safe to use? Thanks

There is a local large wood processor where I live that have 16 different spices of kiln dried wood The give away anything that is not cabinet grade and I have taken more than my share and never have had a problem with it.
Get all you can.

Kiln dried = very well seasoned. Just watch, it will burn a little hotter and faster being drier.

I keep a wall of firewood in my garage that just doesn't get exposed to weather other than temp or humidity for a year or two When that stuff is placed on a bed of coals, it just snaps to life like burning scrap 2x4's. I'd imagine that kiln dried is even better in that regard.

If it's rough sawn, check the ends for a waxy coating. If it's there just cut off an inch or so. If it's milled, just leave it exposed to local humidity and eventually it'll be perfect.
