Will this welder do the job

Post by mrshaund » April 16th, 2017, 6:40 pm

Hello,

Would anyone be able to tell me if the hobart handler 140 would work for either the double pan gf, or the mini gf? I have no working 220 so limited on welders.

I believe there are one or two people on here that have built a GF with one of them, pretty sure you'll just have to do multiple passes on the thicker stuff for the FB unit. :kewl:

:yth: x2

But only on the 1/2" Firebox and possibly the 1/4 chute. The rest of the smoker will be fine.

Is it possible to have the firebox and chute done separately so I could have a shop weld that part of it and just do the rest?

Yes you can build the FB and chute separately and then install it.
