How to calculate with a vertical up right

Post by bstory » June 9th, 2017, 5:15 am

Hey guys it's been a long time. I just need help with fb size. I may buy a smoker project and finish it. It is 24" pipe that is shaped like an L. The main cc is close to 5' long and at the end away from where the fire box would be is 30" tall vertical. Wondering if what to put in the calculator, the total length of pipe as is it were one straight piece.

The calculator is designed for offset smokers, I'm not sure what the spec is verticals.

Welcome back bstory, RC could probably help you with that seeing as his big pit is the same shape. I would think that it would work the way you're figuring but I may be wrong.

Would the height of the vertical cook chamber count as exhaust stack height as well?

Homebuilt offset trailer mount, Big Hat offset vertical, XL BGE and soon a home built double pan gravity feed from smoker builder plans.
