Sweet rib sauce
I'm asking for a recipe in another thread and thought I would pass on my tried and true rib sauce recipe as I feel good eats should be shared.
This works well on beef, pork, and chicken but ribs are what it's made for.
Follow this to a T and don't add anything to it.........
12 oz Ketchup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1-1/2 Tablespoons of chili powder
1 small squirt of yellow mustard (about a tsp)
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and your ready......put it on bbq ribs at the end of the cook and let it caramelize a bit. For beef ribs done in the oven you want to paint a light coat on the ribs mid cook time and then add a heavy coat at the end (only for oven cooking)
Once you try it as written you can adjust the amount of sugars but don't adjust anything else or you kill it.

If you boil your ribs the terrorists win.Dirtytires wrote: ↑September 18th, 2018, 11:03 amBoil, oven and ribs cannot be used in the same sentence...it just isn’t right.
I never said anything about boiling any meat...............all I said was if you use an oven, because lets say your smoker is buried under ten feet of snow and your snow shovel is broken along with your foot and your wife is unwilling to dig it out for you.......this recipe works.
